On Tuesday, January 7, RCB dealt another blow as Josh Hazlewood, who suffered a calf injury during recently concluded BGT, is likely to miss the Sri Lanka tour because of the same injury. IPL 2025 is less than three months away, and not just RCB, but all teams are sweating hard over their players' fitness.

It is worth noting that the RCB bought Hazlewood for a whopping 12.50 crores at the IPL 2025 mega-auction. Meanwhile, this article will look at three unsold stars at the IPL that RCB can turn to in case of injuries.

1. Naveen Ul-Haq

Shockingly, the former LSG star, who did well for the Super Giants, found no bidders at the IPL 2025 mega auction and went unsold. However, he continues to feature in other T20 leagues and is doing well.

Naveen took eight wickets in three matches against Zimbabwe and also featured in Abu Dhabi T10 and CPL 2024. Thus, Naveen can be a great addition to RCB for IPL 2025.

Also, it would be exciting for the fans to watch Virat Kohli and Naveen Ul-Haq play on the same team.

2. David Warner

Another option for RCB is David Warner, who has returned to form and how. Notably, the southpaw announced his international retirement after the 2024 T20 World Cup and also had a poor IPL 2024, which led to no interest from any team during the IPL 2025 mega-auction.

However, he recently featured in BBL 2024-25, where he is on song and has amassed 228 runs in six innings, which includes 3 forty-plus scores. Thus, Warner would be a great addition at the top as well.

3. Mustafizur Rahman

Another shocking player who went unsold at IPL 2025 mega auction was Mustafizur Rahman. The left-arm seamer did well for CSK in IPL 2024 and it was surprising to see no bid for him. He took 14 wickets in nine matches last year and can be a great asset for RCB.

Further, Rahman is also in form as he is doing well in Bangladesh Premier League 2024-25.
