On October 6, India will lock horns against Bangladesh in the first of three T20Is at the Gwalior International Stadium in Madhya Pradesh. The Men in Blue are looking to replicate their red-ball performance against The Tigers in the shortest format of the game.

It is a fresh and young-looking Indian team as Gautam Gambhir and his support staff are building a young side and shaping a team to defend the T20 World Cup title in 2026. The current squad for the Bangladesh T20Is include few new names, and the fans can expect a few debutants tomorrow. This article will shed light on India's probable XI for the first T20I against Bangladesh.

In the opening slot, Abhishek Sharma will take the strike with a new partner Sanju Samson. Samson, who often gets ignored by the team management, is being vouched for the opener's role and will play all three games at the top as India have not named any backup opener.

Skipper Suryakumar Yadav will bat at No.3, while, Riyan Parag and Hardik Pandya will headline the middle order. Meanwhile, Nitish Reddy is likely to be handed his India debut. Further, Rinku Singh will act as a finisher.

In the bowling department, Mayank Yadav and Harshit Rana are likely to be handed their debut and will accompany Arshdeep Singh in the pace department. In the spin, Ravi Bishnoi will be preferred ahead of Varun Chakravarthy.

Further, Shivam Dube, Jitesh Sharma and Washington Sundar sit on the bench.
