India and Bangladesh will lock horns with each other in the first T20I of their three-match series at the MPCA Gwalior International Stadium on 6 October.
India come into the series with a fresh team, as senior players like Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Ravindra Jadeja have retired from the shortest format. In their place, many young and talented players have been given an opportunity to shine. Among these new faces is Mayank Yadav, a pace sensation from LSG who has earned his maiden India call-up. KKR’s Varun Chakravarthy has made a return to the side after three years, while Harshit Rana and Nitish Kumar Reddy, who were part of India’s tour of Zimbabwe, have also been included.
On the other hand, the T20I series represents a significant shift for Bangladesh as they move forward without former captain Shakib Al Hasan, who recently announced his retirement from T20Is and Tests. Veteran batter Mahmudullah, however, remains in the fold, and with a strong performance, he could secure his place in the side for a little longer.
Ahead of the first T20I match, take a look at the weather report.
