Despite winning their first game and then losing three consecutive matches, they bounced back by securing a win against the Jaffna Kings in their last game, marking the highest run chase in LPL history.

After letting the Kings post a colossal 224/7, the Falcons, led by Dinesh Chandimal's explosive 89 off 37 balls and Kamindu Mendis's swift 65 from 36 deliveries, achieved the target with ease in 18.2 overs.

However, their bowling lineup, including Dasun Shanaka and Dushmantha Chameera despite picking two wickets apiece, was on the expensive side, and both Wanindu Hasaranga and Shoriful Islam struggled to contain the runs. 

The Falcons will be hoping to tighten their bowling attack and clinch their third victory in the upcoming clash.
