On Saturday, January 18, India finally announced their 15-member squad for Champions Trophy 2025, set to be held in Pakistan and UAE from February 19. Rohit Sharma and Ajit Agarkar addressed the press, where they revealed the 15 members for the upcoming prestigious event.

Notably, Mohammed Siraj was the major missing, while Jasprit Bumrah was also included in the squad. Overall, the squad looks balanced and quite similar to the one that featured in the 2023 World Cup. However, several players still fear an injury threat and need to be managed carefully.

This article will shed light on three players who risk injury during the 2025 Champions Trophy.

1. Jasprit Bumrah

It is worth noting that Bumrah, who was ruled out of the fifth Test against Australia following a back injury, was racing against time to get fit for the upcoming Champions Trophy 2025. It is worth noting that Jasprit has been added to the squad, but he is still not fit for the tournament.

The right-arm seamer will undergo scans on February 2, and the result will determine the extent to which the MI star will be out of action and whether he will be fit for the Champions Trophy.

2. Mohammed Shami

It is worth noting that Shami hasn't played a solitary international match since the 2023 World Cup final. Shami was suffering from a heel injury, and it has taken him nearly a year to recover from that injury.

Notably, Shami underwent surgery and was en route to getting fit. However, he dealt with another blow when he had a swelling in his knee that kept him out of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Notably, Shami has been added to the T20I squad against England starting on January 22. Thus, it is to be seen how will Shami cope with the workload while the fans will hope that he doesn't injure himself.

3. Kuldeep Yadav

Kuldeep Yadav was also out of action for a long time because he had suffered a groin injury that kept him out of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy and the recent series. Further, he underwent surgery and has recently hit the nets preparing for the Champions Trophy 2025.

Notably, Kuldeep also risks injuring himself and needs to be treated carefully by the Indian management.
