India's cricketing caravan has moved across Atlantic and has landed on the Irish shores for a short and crisp three-match T20I series. This series is an opportunity for young Indian stars - the IPL stars to show their mettle on the big stage and it could be a fascinating series against a talented Ireland unit capable of troubling the best teams in the world on their day.

The series also marks a comeback for a certain Jasprit Bumrah! He is back for India and this time as a captain for the first time in T20Is. It would be interesting to see how a young brigade goes about its business under the leadership of charismatic Jasprit Bumrah.

Jasprit Bumrah

The Indian speedster will undoubtedly grab lot of eyeballs in this series. He has been out of action since September 2022 and with World Cup around the corner, his fitness is key. He seems to be bowling in full tilt now and he could be dangerous with his yorkers and variations.

Sanju Samson

Every time Sanju Samson's name pops up, there is lot of buzz and intense conversations. The man has been an enigma and every time, he takes the field, there is a sense of excitement and mystery. He has shown his prowess in ODI cricket recently, but has not been able to notch up big scores in T20 cricket.

However, he batted at 5 or 6 in the recently concluded T20I series against the Windies which is not a natural position for him. He is a top order batter and is most likely to get a chance at number 3 in this Irish series. He scored a brilliant 77 when he opened the innings last time around in Ireland and he would be hoping to grab this opportunity with both hands.


Rinku Singh

Rinku, the poster boy of IPL 2023 has finally found a place in the Indian side and is likely to debut in this series. His numbers have been staggering in both IPL and for UP in domestic cricket recently, and he could be the finisher India is looking for.

He is a left-hander too and has the temperament to assess the conditions and explode when needed. It would be interesting to see how he goes about his business on the international stage and this series could be a start of a special journey for a special and talented young player like Rinku Singh.
