Arshdeep Singh for Punjab Kings in IPL (Source:@CricCrazyJohns/X.com)
Arshdeep Singh has most number of wickets as a pacer in T20Is for India and has been Punjab's spearhead in IPL for many years. Surprisingly, he has not been retained by Punjab Kings, and he is bound to generate lot of interest in the upcoming mega auction.
The auction will be held on 24th and 25th of September in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia and let's see which teams will most likely bid for Arshdeep Singh in the upcoming mega auction.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB)
Royal Challengers Bengaluru, one of the most high-profile teams in the Indian Premier League are yet to win an IPL trophy. One of the main reasons for it has been their below-par bowling performances and it is high-time that they bring in a reliable Indian pacer. Arshdeep Singh fits perfectly into that role as he can deliver both with the new ball and at the death, and his skills could be game-changer on flat decks at M. Chinnaswamy.
RCB also has good money in their bank, so they can bid big for the Indian pacer and he would surely be an invaluable asset for the franchise.
Punjab Kings (PBKS)
Arshdeep Singh has only played for one team in IPL so far and it is Punjab Kings. He has been their main asset for quite a few years and has 76 wickets in 65 matches. His economy rate is around 9, but those stats don't do justice to kind of impact he has made for the franchise. He bowls difficult overs in almost all matches and have won them many games with his brilliant death-bowling.
Punjab Kings have an advantage over other teams that they can use the RTM for the pacer and as they have lot of money in their kitty, they might go all-in for the pacer they have groomed over the years.
Delhi Capitals
Delhi Capitals have retained four players ahead of mega auction and one of them is uncapped Ishan Porel. So, they have 76.25 Crore in their bank and would be eyeing a reliable Indian pacer. So, Arshdeep Singh will be in their radar too as he would be handy on flat decks at the Arun Jaitely Stadium and they can then build the pace attack around him.
Delhi Capitals also have a tendency to go after Indian talents and in the last season too, they had plenty of Indian pacers who had played for India. Also, they had Khaleel Ahmed and Chetan Sakariya as two left-arm pacers in their squad during last cycle and this auction is a great opportunity to buy India's premier seamer in that category.
