IPL 2025 Mega Auction: Players RCB Will Retain If The Franchises Are Allowed 3 Retentions

IPL 2025 might be one of the most exciting seasons of the tournament in recent memory. This is because a mega auction is scheduled ahead of the edition, and the teams might have to release a majority of the players from their current squad. 

With retentions, RTMs, and releases on the cards, the dynamics of all the teams will change considerably. Although the maximum number of players allowed to retain or RTM ahead of the season has not yet been declared, the BCCI is reportedly considering three possible options. These options include three retentions and two RTMs, three retentions and three RTMs, or four retentions and two RTMs.

• RCB have always had a top-heavy batting order. In crucial games, they often found themselves wanting in the middle order once the big guns at the top of the order had been dismissed. Rajat Patidar played a big role in filling the gap in the RCB middle order last season.
