The Durbar Rajshahi played against the Sylhet Strikers in the 23rd match of the Bangladesh Premier League 2024-25. This match was being played at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury in Chattogram in Bangladesh.

Rajshahi Put In A Brillant Show In The Match

Durbar Rajshahi won the toss in the game and opted to bat first. Rajshahi put in a team effort to take the team to a competitive total. Ryan Burl was the highest run scorer for the team with 41 runs from 27 deliveries. Besides Burl, other batters also made impactful contributions and Durbar set a target of 185 for Sylhet.

In reply, Sylhet failed to find any kind of rhythm to their innings as they kept losing wickets from the beginning of the innings. There was a stabilisation of the wicket when a 58-run partnership was stitched for the third wicket. But after this, they lost four wickets for 13 runs and the game slipped away from them. Ultimately, the Strikers were bundled out for 119 in the 18th over of the innings. 

Taskin Ahmed Reminds Of Jasprit Bumram With His Precise Yorker

While all the bowlers from Rajshahi did a good job for the team, Taskin Ahmed stood out with a spell of 14 for 2 in 3.3 overs. The second wicket that Ahmed picked up was the last wicket of the match. It was a deadly yorker by the ace Bangladeshi pacer that left the batter speechless.

The precision and the potency of delivery by Taskin reminded many fans of the Indian maestro, Jasprit Bumrah. Bumrah is generally known for his precise toe-crushing yorkers that often trouble the best batters in the world.
