The IPL 2025 mega auction is not even a week away. The event is creating a lot of buzz around itself and the fans are excited to find out where there favourite players land up and how their supported teams shape after the auction.

Over the years the IPL auctions have changed the luck of a many unknown cricketers. Players have got recognition for their talents and have drawn some huge contracts during the event. However, often form or the requirements of the teams have led known names going unsold.

Talking about unsold players, here are two released KKR players who might go unsold during the IPL 2025 mega auction -

3. Dushmantha Chameera

The Sri Lankan pacer was part of the KKR set up during the IPL 2024. Dusmantha Chameera was bought for INR 50 Lakhs during the IPL 2024 auction. Due to their already star studded first team and a more than commendable performance by their premier overseas pacer, Mitchell Starc, Chameera did not get much of a chance to showcase his talent.

Dushmantha Chameera represented KKR in only match during the IPL 2024. In that match, Chameera bowled three overs and conceded 48 runs in them without picking up a wicket. Even, if see his performance in the T20Is in 2024, Chameera has done nothing extra-ordinary. In three matches, he has picked up three wickets while having an economy of nearly 8 runs per over.

So, given his show in the last edition of the tournament and his current form it looks like Dusmantha Chameera might go unsold.

2. Gus Atkinson

The English fast bowler was a part of the KKR set up during the IPL 2024. Gus Atkinson was brought by the franchise for a sum of INR 1 Cr. Even though he was a part of the initial squad, Atkinson pulled out due to workload management. So, he has no proven record in the league. Besides, the English pacer has registered for a base price of INR 2 Cr. Considering the limitations of the IPL teams in using overseas players during the tournament, there will be not too many teams looking to buy an overseas fast bowler who is priced so high.

1. Mujeeb ur Rahman

The Afghan mystery spinner had a good time in the tournament till IPL 2020. But since then there has been a dip in Mujeeb ur Rahman's overall performance. Despite playing in multiple franchise leagues, Mujeeb has not given too many impactful performances. Also, the fact that he has registered himself with a INR 2 Cr is also going against him. Therefore the once sought after mystery spinner in IPL might unsold during the IPL 2025 mega auction.
