Desert Vipers

The Vipers, led by Lockie Ferguson, have already qualified and booked this slot for qualifier one.

Dubai Capitals

Moving on to Dubai Capitals, who have had a topsy-turvy campaign but have finally managed to qualify for the playoffs after their victory last night over Abu Dhabi Knight Riders by 26 runs. After scoring 217 runs on the board, courtesy of superstar David Warner's 93 not out off just 57 deliveries, who was very well supported by Gulbadin Naib's 47, whereas Dasun Shanaka's 12-ball, 34-run cameo proved very much helpful.

In reply, Abu Dhabi could only manage 191 after the completion of their 20 overs, with Dushmantha Chameera picking two wickets for 25 runs in his four overs. After this win, they have now accumulated a total of five victories from nine matches, which means they have 10 points to their name. 

And, if they manage to seal the upcoming game, their tally will increase to 12 points, meaning they will directly play the qualifier one. However, if they lose this one, they will be stuck at 10 points only and, hence, will only be playing the eliminator.
