Rajasthan Royals have been a rejuvenated side in the last couple of years and even reached the final of the IPL in 2022 season. They were one of the strongest teams on paper in the last season too, but ended up faltering in the second half of the tournament. 

For IPL 2024 though, they look even more prepared and have successfully filled the gaps in their side in auction and the trading window before. They needed Indian pacers and they have brought got some talented young Indians this time. The middle order conundrum has also been solved with the buying of power hitters like Rovman Powell and Vidarbha's Shubham Dubey.

Openers - Jos Buttler and Yashasvi Jaiswal

Rajasthan have one of the finest opening pairs in the competition, arguably the best. They both can take the bowling line-ups apart and can deliver with great consistency too.


Middle Order - Sanju Samson, Riyan Parag, Shimron Hetmyer, Rovman Powell and Dhruv Jurel

At number 3 will be the charismatic Sanju Samson. He is an impact cricketer and would be determined to make this season count. The number 4 option is a tricky one, but RR might still go with Riyan Parag at the start of the season, given his exploits in the domestic competitions. He can bowl too but if he does not delivery, Shubham Dubey might slot into XI.

The Windies duo of Shimron Hetmyer and Rovman Powell will be RR's power blasters and finishers along with young Indian wicketkeeper Dhruv Jurel.


Bowlers - Ravi Ashwin, Yuzvendra Chahal, Trent Boult, Prasidh Krishna

The bowling will once again revolve around their two quality spinners - Chahal and Ashwin along with Trent Boult. However, they have Prasidh Krishna fit for this season and have backup pacers like Avesh Khan, Sandeep Sharma and Kuldeep Sen, making them a very well-rounded bowling attack.
