The Women's World Cup 2025 is all set to start on September 30 with hosts India taking on Sri Lanka in Guwahati. Both teams would be looking to start off on a positive note, and it promises to be a cracking tournament with world-class players from different nations ready to ply their trade.

Most of the matches will be played in India, so the Women in Blue will go into the tournament with a slight home advantage. However, many foreign players have had exposure to Indian conditions a bit more in recent times due to WPL, and they could play a big role for their respective countries.

In this article, we will look at three players from RCB unit (Indian and foreign included) who can be match-winners in the Women's World Cup 2025.

Smriti Mandhana

Smriti Mandhana has been in scintillating form in the last couple of years. She is the captain of Royal Challengers Bengaluru, and under her leadership, the franchise won the title in 2024 as well.

Now, she is making her bat talk in Indian colours and recently smashed two consecutive centuries against the mighty Australian unit. She blasted a hundred off just 50 balls, and it is the fastest by an Indian in ODI cricket. Thus, she is in great form and has all the gears in her game to win India matches.

As shown in the table, she has scored close to 1000 runs at a strike rate of over 115 this year, and if she finds her groove in the World Cup, the southpaw would put India in a pretty strong position.

Ellyse Perry

Ellyse Perry, the Australian superstar, is arguably the greatest all-rounder to play the women's game. She has been a dominant force for RCB in the last couple of years as well, and in 2025, she almost single-handedly carried the franchise.

The Aussie is an experienced cricketer and would be a key player for world champions Australia. She will take the important number 3 position, and given her past exploits in the Women's World Cup, she is likely to make a big impact again.

Ellyse Perry also has an excellent ODI batting average of 56.25 in India and has been touring the country since 2012. The cricketer also has 21 ODI wickets in just 12 innings in ODIs, which shows the kind of all-round impact she can make on the match.

Charlotte Dean

Charlotte Dean came in as a replacement for Sophie Molineux in the RCB unit for WPL 2025 and could play just one match. However, she is a key player for England with her all-round skills.

The 24-year-old is primarily a bowler and has been a genuine wicket-taker for England in the last few years. She has 76 ODI wickets at an average of 22.17 and has picked a four-wicket haul six times in her short ODI career of 45 matches. She also has a fifer to her name and could be very effective in Indian conditions.

Charlie can also contribute with the bat and overall is one of the young players who can turn out to be a match-winner in the Women's World Cup 2025.
