Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) will take on Punjab Kings (PBKS) in match 27 of the IPL 2025 season. The match is scheduled at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.
Led by Pat Cummins, SRH have been miserable in the tournament, losing four out of their first five IPL 2025 matches. So, considering they would be keen to get back on the winning track, the Sunrisers could make some changes to their playing XI for this game.

(Abhishek and Ishan's stats in last 4 matches)
- As evidenced by the above stats, Ishan Kishan and Abhishek Sharma have failed miserably in the last four matches of the IPL 2025. While Ishan has done absolutely nothing after his flamboyant hundred, Abhishek has seemed far from his best in the tournament.
- Their repeated failures have let the Orange Army down in the competition, triggering batting collapses on almost every game. However, these two are really big names, and it won't be surprising if the SRH management persists with them despite their abysmal outings.
Mulder To Replace Kamindu Mendis?
- SRH have shown trust in prominent Sri Lankan all-rounder Kamindu Mendis in the IPL 2025. However, the left-handed batter is a complete misfit in their lineup, as he takes considerable time before shifting gears.
- Mendis has managed only 28 runs in 25 deliveries while scalping a solitary wicket in two matches. So, SRH might replace him with South Africa's explosive all-rounder Wiaan Mulder, who can ensure a fitting finish to their innings.
- Besides playing brisk cameos lower down the order, Mulder can chip in with crucial wickets in the middle overs.
Meanwhile, Simarjeet Singh, who conceded 20 runs off one over in the last game, might make room for Harshal Patel.
SRH will likely keep the rest of their playing XI unchanged, with Travis Head, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Aniket Verma and Heinrich Klaasen playing significant roles.
