On Sunday, May 25, CSK locked horns against Gujarat Titans, where Ayush Mhatre stole the show with his power-hitting. Notably, Mhatre scored 34 (17), which featured three fours and three sixes. With the knock, Mhatre concluded the tournament on a high as it was CSK's last league stage match. 

It is worth noting that Mhatre was not part of CSK's original squad and was brought in as  Gaikwad's replacement mid-season. Interestingly, both the players have had a nearly identical tournament and while Suryavanshi has scored more runs, the difference is minimal. Nonetheless, looking at the stats, Suryavanshi has had a better season. Notably, both players have been aggressive, but Vaibhav has been more of a slogger, which has gone in his way and reflects in his six-hitting numbers, while Mhatre has looked to take the grounded and classical route as well through-out the tournament. Eventually, both stars are guaranteed to be big stars in the future, with just two different styles. 

Other than the technique and playing style, both players have been consistent and registered a failure with twice in the tournament.
