It is down to the 3rd and final WT20I of the three-match Ashes series between Australia Women and England Women to be played at the Adelaide Oval on 25th January from 1:45 PM IST. With the series already won by the home side, Australia, it remains to be seen if England fights back in this encounter.

Australia Women

The dominant Australian Women's side put on a show in the 2nd T20I with the bat posting 185 on the board for the loss of five wickets with opener Beth Mooney (44), skipper Tahlia McGrath (48*) and Grace Harris (35*) doing their best with the bat to defeat the opposition by just six runs in a rain-affected encounter.

Megan Schutt picked 2/32 while Kim Garth and Annabel Sutherland got one apiece to their name to restrict the English side to 168 in 19.1 overs while they were chasing 175 after DLS came into play. They have outclassed the opposition on all occasions in this series and will be hoping to continue their unbeaten run.

England Women

On the opposite hand, the worst nightmares of the English women's side are getting true in this series, with losses in all the games they have played down under on this tour. Danielle Wyatt-Hodge played a fighting 40-ball 52-run knock while skipper Heather Knight stood till the end in a bid to push her side over the line, only to be denied by the rain after scoring 43* from just 19 balls.

Charlie Dean was the pick of the bowlers, with the ball getting 2/28 with her spin, whereas Freya Kemp and Sophie Ecclestone got one each. Otherwise, Lauren Bell and Nat Sciver-Brunt proved to be a tad bit expensive with an economy over 11. Meanwhile, Maia Bouchier is having a rough time with a duck in the first game and a struggling innings of 13 runs from 14 balls in the second.

How Will The Adelaide Oval Pitch Behave?

The pitch at the Adelaide Oval is a belter of a track, with run-scoring favoured in both innings of the game. With good bounce and no extraordinary movement, shot-making is easier for the batters.

The pacers might get some movement early on with the new ball, but otherwise, it would be difficult to contain the batters. Spinners will have to bowl tight lines and ensure they don't give freebies. Moreover, the pitch will likely stay the same throughout the encounter, so expect the team winning the toss to bowl first.

Players To Watch Out For In AU-W vs EN-W 3rd T20I

Australia Women

Beth Mooney: Experienced Australian Opener Beth Mooney is the highest run-scorer in the T20I series so far, with 119 runs to her name from two games, with an average of 59.50, while she has struck at 145.75. Her ability to command the game right from the start makes her a valuable asset.

Tahlia McGrath: Tahlia McGrath played an outstanding 48-run unbeaten knock from 35 deliveries with eight boundaries in the previous game to push her side's score to 185. Overall, she has 74 runs in the two matches in the series while also grabbing a wicket.

Georgia Wareham: Leg-spinner Georgia Wareham has been incredible, with three wickets in the first T20I, which put the English side under immense pressure. Her spell caused the batters many problems and was the reason they couldn't recover.

Ellyse Perry: Star all-rounder Ellyse Perry is a must-pick on any side because of her superhuman abilities to change the course of the game. Perry's numbers in the format are way above normal at 2,097 runs while having 126 wickets in her career.
