As we inch closer to the IPL 2024 auctions, which are scheduled to take place on the 19th of December, the teams will be keeping an eye on the recently begun Big Bash League. For the players taking part in the BBL 2023/24, their performances in the league will have a huge impact on their chances of fetching an IPL contract in the coming few days.

Here are the five exciting BBL stars who can fetch the IPL 2024 contracts:

Josh Inglis (Perth Scorchers)

The right-handed wicket-keeper batter from Australia, Josh Inglis, has not only impressed the Australian management but also a few IPL franchises as well, considering his 110-run knock in the first T20I of the recently concluded series against India. Teams like the Delhi Capitals, Royal Challenger Bangalore, and Sunrisers Hyderabad, who will be keen on bidding for a keeper-batter, Josh Inglis, will most likely secure his first IPL contract. In just 15 T20I innings, he has notched up over 380 runs; don't be surprised if he goes for a huge sum.

Ben Dwarshuis (Sydney Sixers)

The right-arm seamer from Australia, who is representing Sydney Sixers in the ongoing Big Bash League, is another player for whom the IPL franchises can set aside some money providing him with his first IPL contract. A few days back, he stunned the Indian batters with his bowling and picked five wickets in just two games.

In the two BBL games that he has played this season so far, he is the leading wicket-taker with five wickets. His skill set will come in handy for most of the franchises, so he will probably be making his IPL debut very soon.

Jhye Richardson (Perth Scorchers)

Riley Meredith (Hobart Hurricanes)

Riley Meredith, a tall right-arm fast bowler, has also played for both the Mumbai Indians and Punjab Kings. He had one decent season with the Mumbai Indians, but he could perform the same way in the IPL 2023. After being released by Mumbai, Meredith is back in the auction pool.

With 19 wickets in 18 IPL games he has featured so far, he is yet to unleash his full potential. For the teams that will be looking for tall foreign fast bowlers who can bowl at any stage of the game, Meredith will be a perfect fit for them.

Daniel Sams (Sydney Thunder)

Daniel Sams, the left-arm seamer, who represents Sydney Thunder in the Big Bash League is no stranger to the IPL, as he has featured in the IPL for three teams, Mumbai Indians, Delhi Capitals, and Lucknow Super Giants. In the 16 IPL games, he has bagged 14 wickets and possesses the ability to use the long handle as well.

The all-rounder can be handy to any team that picks him, and with two BBL games scheduled before the auction date, the franchises will keep an eye out to get an idea of his recent performances.
