Royal Challengers Bengaluru have suffered massive setbacks, with Josh Hazlewood and Jacob Bethell sustaining injuries ahead of the Indian Premier League 2025. While Hazlewood is recovering from a side strain, which kept him out of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, Bethell has been ruled out of the Champions Trophy due to a hamstring injury.

Therefore, as the Royal Challengers Bengaluru are bothered by injuries to their key players, here are three ex-players whom they can get in as their replacements.

1. Chris Jordan (Base Price-2 Cr)

  • Royal Challengers Bengaluru are currently concerned by injury issues, with Josh Hazlewood still nursing a side strain. The Australian pacer has already been ruled out of Champions Trophy and is racing against time to get fully fit for the IPL 2025, which starts next month.
  • Although Hazlewood is renowned for his incredible skills with the new ball, the Royal Challengers have Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Lungi Ngidi and Yash Dayal, who can perform the role in the powerplay in his absence.
  • Therefore, they might consider roping in Chris Jordan in order to boost their death bowling department, as the fast bowler can be a useful option in the final two phases of the game.

2. Kyle Jamieson (Base Price- 1.5 Cr)

  • Kyle Jamieson is a promising fast bowler from New Zealand and represented Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the 2021 IPL edition.
  • Although the fast bowler sustained a back injury last year, he participated in the Super Smash tournament after recovering from it.
  • As he can make the new ball talk, Jamieson can be Hazlewood's like-for-like replacement in RCB's IPL 2025 squad. Apart from striking at crucial junctures, Jamieson can contribute handy runs as a lower order batter.

3. Michael Bracewell (Base Price- 1.5 Cr)

  • New Zealand's experienced all-rounder Michael Bracewell represented RCB in the 2023 season of the Indian Premier League.
  • He showcased remarkable form in the Super Smash, exhibiting his all-round prowess for Wellington. As Jacob Bethell has sustained a hamstring injury, the RCB think tank might consider getting Bracewell back in the squad.
  • Apart from scoring vital runs in the middle order, Bracewell can provide RCB with a valuable off-spin bowling option, thereby boosting their squad for the IPL 2025.
