There has been lot of T20 cricket in recent times, and ODI format often gets ignored in the process. However, with Champions Trophy back after eight long years, the focus has shited to the 50-over game again and it would be interesting to see how things unfold when eight top teams in the world go head-to-head for the ultimate price.
The Champions Trophy will be followed by Indian Premier league and even though the focus is on the ICC event, there will be people who will keep a close eye on how the players from their favourite franchise go about their business in Champions Trophy. One of the most high-profile franchise in IPL is Chennai Super Kings, and there is lot of attention on how their players perform wherever they go in the world.
So, let's now look at the three players from Chennai Super Kings IPL 2025 squad who can be match-winners for their respective countries in Champions Trophy 2025.
3. Noor Ahmad
The 20-year-old Afghanistan spinner has taken rapid strides in world cricket in the last year or so. He has done exceptionally well in T20 cricket across various franchise leagues, and has 150 wickets in 132 T20 matches. The youngster has relatively less experience of the 50-over format, but is a genuine wicket-taker and has 25 wickets in 18 List A games.
Noor Ahmad has played 10 ODIs for Afghanistan so far which includes nine wickets, but left-arm wrist spinners are always known for their wicket-taking ability and on his day, he can run through batting line-ups. Also, he is kind of bowler who can find turn on flat decks and can beat the batter with his variations, taking pitch out of the equation and it could prove crucial on batting tracks in Pakistan.

List A | 18 | 25 |

SA20 (T20s) | 9 | 13 |
Noor also can prove more effective against teams like England, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa who are not known to be great players of spin. 2. Rachin Ravindra
The New Zealand youngster is another player from CSK who can make big impact in Champions Trophy 2025. He is now a regular for the Kiwis across formats, and has been very consistent since the 2023 World Cup where he first grabbed limelight. In that 50-over World Cup, he hit 578 runs in 10 matches at an average of 64.22 and strike-rate of 106.44 which includes three hundreds and two fifties.

Also, those runs came in conditions similar to the one that are expected in Pakistan, and so there are high chances that he could make an impact at the top of the order again.
