Team India’s Perth delight turned out into Adelaide horror in the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy. India started their Border-Gavaskar Trophy campaign with a 295-run win. But the Aussies bounced back with a 10-wicket win in the Adelaide Test. That is a huge setback for India.

Mohammad Shami's comeback into the squad is possible as the team is gearing up for the next series of matches. In the post-match conference, Rohit Sharma was optimistic about the speedster’s return. Former Pakistani player shared his view on Shami’s inclusion to the team.

Rohit Sharma on Mohammad Shami’s Availability

Rohit Sharma’s Team India faced a horrible defeat in the Adelaide Test. After getting all out in just 180 runs, the Indian bowlers failed to restrict Australia and faced the heartbreaking defeat of 10 wickets. Mohammad Shami is not playing the ongoing series against the Aussies, as he is recovering from injury. He has a chance to feature in the remaining matches of the ongoing series. After the defeat, Rohit Sharma talked about his availability.

“No, no, definitely. That door is very much open. But we are just monitoring him because while playing Syed Mushtaq Ali T20, he again got some swelling in his knee, which obviously hampers his preparation to come and play a Test match. We want to be very, very careful.” the Indian Skipper said.

Basit Ali’s Big Remark on Shami’s Arrival

After a long injury, Shami is now participating in the domestic league to get back in shape. As per recent reports, the legendary Indian pacer is likely to join the team in Australia in the fourth Test. But Basit Ali thinks Shami needs to join the team from the third Test to boost Team India’s bowling unit.

“We are getting news that Shami will be going but might play from the fourth Test. There won't be any benefit if India plays Shami from the fourth Test. Send him now and play him the Brisbane Test. If you are calling him for Melbourne, then don't call him at all. India need Shami now! Your pace attack needs Shami.” Basit Ali said.
