During the second match between Lake City Panthers and ABL Stallions, a bizarre incident took place, and that grabbed the limelight.

The Bizarre Incident 

As the Pakistan Champions Cup kicked off on December 7, Lake City Panthers and ABL Stallions faced each other in the second match of the tournament at the Rawalpindi Stadium. During the second innings of the match, the game saw a dramatic delay due to a floodlight malfunction. The unexpected interruption becomes the talk of the match.

While batting in the second innings, Lake City Panthers faced an unwanted setback. After the 15th over, a bizarre moment took place after Tahir Hussain finished his over. The floodlight unexpectedly went off around 7:19 IST and the match halted. The match resumed at 7:31 IST after a 12-minute delay due to the glitch. The unwanted moment left the fans in frustration.


ABL Stallions’ Triumph Over Lake City Panthers

Starting on December 7, the second match of the tournament witnessed a thrilling clash between Lake City Panthers and ABL Stallions. While batting first, the Stallions gave a decent start. After they lost their initial two wickets in 62 runs, Mohammad Haris and Hussain Talat counter-attacked the opponent bowlers.

Harris scored an exceptional half-century. On the flip side, Talat remained unbeaten scoring an incredible century. Depending on those mighty performances, they put on a total of 216 runs on the board.

While defending the total, the Stallions bowlers playing dominating cricket over the opponent. Mohammad Ali grabbed the early blood by dismissing Abdul Wahid Bangalzai. Ali and Usman thrived in the match by securing 3 wickets each. Tahir Hussain secured 2 wickets while conceding 41 runs. They restricted the Panthers to 181 runs and started their campaign with a 35-run defeat.
