As the IPL 2025 is spreading unreal thrills, the Rajasthan Royals are struggling with their form. Standing on the crucial point, Yashasvi Jaiswal’s ongoing form is adding more woes to the side. In 5 matches, he has scored only 107 runs with an average of 21.4. His lone half-century came against the Punjab Kings.

After his early dismissal against the Gujarat Titans raised concerns over his form. After his poor outings, former Pakistan player Basit Ali took a sharp jab at him. Citing Prithvi Shaw as a cautionary tale, he issued a stern warning to Jaiswal.

“His stomach has filled. Jaiswal isn't focusing on cricket. This is my open message: Don't make this mistake, cricket can make you cry a lot. Look at Prithvi Shaw. Love cricket and bring that passion back, it is nowhere to be seen now. You are playing zero this year when compared to last.” Ali said.

Sudharsan's Passion Stuns Ali

In the ongoing edition, Gujarat Titans opener Sai Sudharsan has grabbed the attention with his exceptional form. In just 5 matches, he scored 273 runs with an impressive average of 54.60. His composed 82 off 53 balls against the Rajasthan Royals left a lasting impact. His exceptional form earned high praise from former Pakistan cricketer Basit Ali.

“When I first saw Sai Sudharsan, I thought he was 27 or 28 years old. But, I saw one of his interviews recently, and found out he is only 23 or 24. There is cricket in his face and eyes, you can see that he loves the game very much. His goal is to be at the top,” he said.

After the last defeat against the Titans, the Rajasthan Royals’ woes deepened. With 2 victories and 3 defeats, the team is standing in seventh position on the points table. As they gear up to face Royal Challengers Bengaluru on April 13, a strong comeback will be their top priority.
