To the delight of cricket fans across the globe, the much-awaited World Test championship final will commence on the 7th of this month. Two star-studded outfits, India and Australia, will battle it out at the iconic Kennington Oval for the WTC silverware.

While the entire focus lies on Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, the promising Shubman Gill also emerges as a significant threat to Australia in the WTC final.

Therefore, ahead of the fascinating clash, legendary former Australian batter Greg Chappell has come up with a cheat code for Australia to get rid of the Punjab batter.

In an interview with renowned Indian journalist Boria Majumder, Chappell reckoned that the Australian bowlers could make Gill nick one behind the stumps by pitching it around the off stump and trying to get some extra kick off the surface.

However, the former Indian coach also acknowledged that if the Australians bowl loose deliveries, Gill is pretty much capable of capitalising on it.

Here's what Chappell stated

"I don't wanna go into too much detail but I'm sure the Australians must have seen a couple of things that I have seen. There are little things that Shubman does a few things early in his innings that makes him vulnerable to that length around off stump and if the ball bounces a little bit extra, I think he will susceptible to nicking off behind the wicket. That will be an area that the Australians will focus on. But he's a very good player. If they don't bowl well, he will punish them."

Despite being a prolific performer in limited-overs cricket, Gill has blown hot and cold in the purest format. Therefore, the youngster would like to stamp his authority in Tests when his side takes on Australia in the ultimate battle starting this Wednesday.
