Virat Kohli's return to Ranji after 12 years has been nothing short of an extraordinary drama at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. Featuring in the January 30 match between Delhi and Railways, Virat was the star of the show pulling in the maximum crowd at the venue with a never-seen-before attendance.

Nevertheless, the Indian star, though graced the stadium with his presence, his return to the domestic circuit was an anti-climax as Himanshu Sangwan of Railways castled him within 20 minutes to end his dream comeback. However, Kohli, being the sporty person he is, later, met with Himanshu to have a chat with him about the delivery.

Virat Kohli Praises Sangwan's Masterclass Delivery

Meeting him later, after the match, Virat Kohli shared his thoughts about the ball that bamboozled him right after he hit a classy straight drive to Himanshu for a boundary.

Kohli praised the 29-year-old appreciating the delivery. According to Dainik Jagran journalist Lokesh Sharma, Sangwan went to Kohli for asking to sign the ball on which he took the wicket. Kohli replied with his words of appreciation saying, "What a ball it was, It was a beautiful delivery".

How Was Kohli Castled By Sangwan?

The batting maestro's short innings was orchestrated by Himanshu. During the 28th over of Delhi's first innings, with Virat Kohli coming in after Yash Dhull's dismissal, the star batter immediately displayed his class by hitting an elegant drive.

However, Himanshu Sangwan quickly exacted his revenge by delivering a stunning ball. Bowling from over the wicket, Sangwan’s full-length delivery pitched outside off stump and turned back sharply into Kohli, who, while attempting a drive, allowed the ball to slip through the gap between his bat and pad, which sent the off stump cartwheeling.

Kohli Loses Chance Of Slump Revival

Meanwhile, Virat Kohli didn't get a chance to salvage his slump in the second innings as Delhi's overall superiority on Day 3 gave no chance to Kohli to redeem himself, as Railways were swiftly dismissed in both innings, with Sumit Mathur delivering an outstanding all-round performance to secure a convincing 19-run win before a packed home crowd.
