Pakistan landed in Hyderabad for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 and have been provided the very best of hospitality by all concerned authorities during their stay in the Andhra capital city.

However, during both of Pakistan's warm-up matches, the fielding and zest were lacking, especially against Australia on Tuesday evening. Pakistan players were found making silly errors in the field, which also became social media meme material.

Stand-in skipper Shadab Khan, who led Pakistan last evening, opened up about Hyderabad's hospitality, mainly the famous Biryani, and joked it about being the reason behind his poor outing thus far.

Speaking to Star Sports, the star all-rounder responded to a query on Hyderabadi Biryani and equated it with Pakistan's performances in a jovial manner.

Here's what Khan said

"We are eating it daily, and perhaps that is why we are getting a bit slow (laughs)."

The Hyderabadi Biryani is one of the famous dishes in India, and with almost every Pakistani member touring India for the first time, baring two, have indulged in feasting on the delicacy.

Speaking about the loss against Australia in their final warm-up, Khan stated that the results did not matter as several positives emerged from the encounter.

"Result is not important. We took a lot of positives. Our attitude was good, result not in our hands. I think our 11 is sorted, we just wanted to give time to the bench to show their skills. When you play against Australia and New Zealand, you get confidence. We got a little bit experience of conditions [in Hyderabad]."

Pakistan will play their first World Cup 2023 match against the Netherlands on October 6 in Hyderabad itself.
