Team India thrashed Bangladesh in the Kanpur Test to seal the series, 2-0. At one stage, it looked like the Test match was heading towards a draw, especially when almost 2.5 days were abandoned due to rain and poor drainage system.

However, the Rohit Sharma led side had a self-belief and they pulled off a miracle inside 1.5 days to snatch the victory, when the game was heading towards a stalemate. Team India batted with aggression in their first innings and scored at almost 8 runs per over.

Their bowlers did the damage in the second innings as the Tigers were bundled out for a paltry 146 in the second innings, meaning that India only needed 95 runs to win, a target, which they achieved by 7-wickets to strengthen their position in WTC table.

The victorious Indian side had several stars, but none bigger than Rohit Sharma, who instilled a belief within the team that they can produce something special, even with just 1.5 days of play left. However, the team followed captain's ideas and it worked magic.

In a special video uploaded by BCCI, Rohit Sharma talked about the game-plan and how the team executed it to perfection.

Our plan was clear right from the word go: Rohit Sharma

Rohit stated that the plan was to go for the kill and go for the win. He added that discussion took place with coach, Gautam Gambhir, and even he pushed Rohit to go for the win, with very limited time left in the match.

"Our plan was cleared, we wanted to win at any cost," Rohit said in the video.

Rohit also praised Mohammed Siraj's fielding, as he was a livewire on the field and gave his 100%. He pulled off a spectacular catch off Shakib Al Hasan in the second Test match, and Rohit was in awe of his pace spearhead.

"Siraj is a great athlete, he is superb and gives his everything on the field. Even when he is bowling on a flat surface, where nothing is happening, Siraj gives his full commitment."

India and Rohit Sharma's next Test assignment will be the upcoming Test series against New Zealand which commences on October 16.
