Rashid Khan Confident As Afghanistan Gear Up To Face Pakistan
As Afghanistan lock horns in a T20I tri-series against Pakistan and the UAE, the start hasn’t gone as they had imagined. In the inaugural match, they faced a heartbreaking defeat against the Men in Green. But in the last game against the UAE, they flipped the script with their all-round dominance.
While batting first, Afghanistan put on a challenging total of 188, depending on Sediqullah Atal and Ibrahim Zadran’s batting brilliance. Defending the total, Captain Rashid Khan and Sharafuddin Ashraf took the center stage, and the other bowlers kept the domination alive. With that, they secured the game by a 38-run victory.
Afghanistan is gearing up to take on Pakistan in the next clash, eyeing revenge after their earlier setback. Ahead of that, skipper Rashid Khan assured that the team is ready to face the challenges ahead.
“We are always well prepared. Whenever you have games with big teams after a long time, you need to adjust yourself as quickly as you can. Our previous game was a wakeup call. We will bring our best game tomorrow,” Rashid Khan said.
After the recent win against the UAE, Afghanistan is standing in the second position of the points table with two points in two matches. Pakistan, unbeaten so far, remains on top. With the next clash approaching, Pakistan will look to extend their winning run, while Afghanistan aims to strike back for revenge.
