The Champions Trophy is back after eight long years and Pakistan are the hosts of the tournament. There are high expectations from the home team but they faltered big time in the first game and lost by 60 runs against New Zealand.

Pakistan's batting approach while chasing 321 came under immense scrutiny and Babar Azam was at the centre of it. He scored 64 runs from 90 balls and his knock put a lot of pressure on other batters and eventually they fell way short of the target despite Khushdil Shah's 69 off 49 balls.

Babar Azam Criticised For Low Strike-Rate in Champions Trophy Opener

Babar Azam was naturally criticised after the knock and it also came from the legends like Wasim Akram and Cheteshwar Pujara. In the Pakistan show called 'Dressing Room' where INDO-PAK stars analyze the game, Wasim Akram came up with a sarcastic dig at Babar Azam where he stated that Babar took the advice of batting slowly little too much seriously.

Cheteshwar Pujara then came up with a savage comment where he took a dig at Babar Azam by mentioning that no one told him to face so many dot balls (aise bhi Nahi bhola tha ki itne saare dot balls Khelo). Also, Pujara's involvement in Pakistan show has raised quite a few eyebrows with many speculating that he has travelled to Pakistan, however, it has been confirmed that the studio for the show is in Dubai.

The stage is now set for the high-octane encounter between India and Pakistan and the Men in Green would be hoping that their biggest star, Babar Azam comes up with better attitude against India.
