Following the washout game between India and Pakistan in the Asia Cup group stage fixture, fans from across the world have their eyes firmly set on the Super 4 match between the two teams on September 10.
The weather forecast has predicted rainfall on match day but Shoaib Akhtar, who has visited Colombo, took to social media to provide a weather update after landing from his flight.
In his video, he posted a few words which read as follows:
“Just landed in Colombo. Excited about Pakistan vs India. Weather looks quite amazing. Landing in Colombo after, God knows, how many years. But good to be back here. Great country and great people. And Weather… it looks fine!”
Through his video, he also tried to caution team India ahead of the crucial encounter.
“Bach ke rehnaPakistanse (Beware of Pakistan) …,” Akhtar added
The former Pakistani speedster concluded his video with a rise smile on his face.
The Indian top order looked highly vulnerable against the likes of Shaheen, Naseem, and Rauf during their first Asia Cup encounter against Pakistan. The pace-bowling trio of Pakistan wreaked havoc as they combined pace and swing to keep the Indian batters in check for the majority of the first innings.
However, as we look forward to yet another riveting contest between the two powerful cricketing giants, it remains to be seen how the Indian top-order batters respond to the imminent threat posed by Pakistan’s lethal pace battery.
