'Virat Kohli's Comeback Same As CR7 Coming Back To Man United' - Former Selector On Virat's T20I Return

Virat Kohli made a rollicking comeback in T20Is with a swashbuckling 29 off 16 balls in the second T20I against Afghanistan at Indore. He looked in supreme touch and started going after the bowlers from the ball one which is something India is looking for in the T20 format.

Now, Saba Karim, the former Indian wicketkeeper and national selector has praised Kohli for his brilliant comeback.

Saba compared Virat's comeback in T20I to Cristiano Ronaldo's comeback in Manchester United. 

“This is akin to Cristiano Ronaldo coming back to Man United. The prodigal son returns, isn’t it? That’s something like, what Virat has done now 14 months. That’s a long time.”

Saba Karim also added that from what he has seen in pre-game warm-ups, Virat is as keen as ever to get on the field and make a big impact like he done for more than a decade now.

“But I think whatever one could see in the pre-game warm ups, I think Virat is pretty keen to step onto the field and again do what he has done so well in the past,” said Kohli.

Virat Kohli and team India will now head to M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru for the final T20I where Kohli has delivered some big T20 performances both in the IPL and international cricket.
