In the cricket world, Jasprit Bumrah is a star, and the youngsters never fail to draw inspiration from the legend. Even after coming back from a prolonged injury, the pacer is already turning heads.

In the last clash against the Rajasthan Royals, the Mumbai Indians registered a dominating victory. But after that, a heartfelt chat between Jasprit Bumrah and Tushar Deshpande grabbed the attention.

Bumrah Turns Mentor

After a long injury setback, Jasprit Bumrah is back at work in his own rhythm. Despite having a tough start, Hardik Pandya and Co. made a remarkable bounce back and are eyeing the playoff berth. Bumrah’s brilliance was on full display in their recent clash against the Rajasthan Royals, proving once again why he is one of the main faces of MI's bowling attack.

While facing the Riyan Parag-led side, Bumrah secured 2 crucial wickets while conceding just 15 runs with an economy rate of 3.80. But his post-match chat with RR bowler Tushar Deshpande caught the spotlight, as the young bowler sought advice from the legend himself on how to sharpen his mindset and become even more effective.

“Aur thoda mindset wise aggressive rehna hai. Aggressive in the sense, aisa nahi ke har ball pe danda uda do. But, main na acha ball dalunga par main out karunga. Chal maar le, ek chakka mar le, kitna marega? Tu maar theek hai, phir main aur jor se marunga,” Bumrah said.

Mumbai’s Clinical Win Secures The Top Spot

While facing the Rajasthan Royals in their last match, the Mumbai Indians showcased their dominance once again. While batting first, Ryan Rickelton and Rohit Sharma set the stage on fire.

After a 116-run partnership, Rickelton walked away scoring 61 runs, and Rohit smashed a thrilling half-century. Suryakumar Yadav and Hardik Pandya’s unbeaten fireworks powered Mumbai to a formidable total of 217.

While defending the total, the MI bowlers unleashed their dominating side. With three wickets each, Trent Boult and Karn Sharma shattered RR’s batting lineup. Bumrah shone with 2 wickets and restricted the opponent to just 117 runs, and secured a massive 100-run victory. With that emphatic win, Hardik Pandya and Co. seized the top spot in the tournament.
