England star Jacob Bethell has admitted that he has been overwhelmed by the love and support he has been receiving from the RCB fans throughout his ongoing white-ball trip to India. The young hard-hitting batter is currently in India as part of England’s ODI and T20I squad for a preparatory series before the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy later this month.

Bethell was roped in by the RCB franchise back in November last year, and is bracing himself up for his first-ever IPL stint this year.

Jacob Bethell admires fan support for RCB

Jacob Bethell is apparently overwhelmed by the support he has received in India for his connection with the RCB franchise. The 21-year-old claimed that he has been welcomed to the chants of ‘RCB RCB’ from crowds in every single venue he has been to off late.

Bethell also revealed that he is looking forward to playing alongside some of the biggest T20 star attractions in RCB during the upcoming IPL 2025 season:

“RCB is a great franchise, and I’ve felt the love over here. Every ground I’ve been to, as soon as I walk onto the pitch, they start chanting: RCB, RCB. There’s definitely a lot of support. To play along with the likes of players like that would be really cool.”

Jacob Bethell was roped in by the RCB franchise back during the IPL 2025 mega auction for Rs.2.60 crore. Yet to play a single IPL game, the upcoming 2025 season will mark his maiden IPL stint.

After failing to notch up a single notable score during England’s T20I series in India, the cricketer scored a fiery 51 in the first ODI match in Nagpur on February 6.
