Fakhar Zaman Breaks Silence, Dismisses Babar Azam Rumors

After consecutive setbacks in international cricket, Babar Azam failed to find a spot in their home Test series in October 2024. But this move of PCB faced a lot of questions. The situation took a dramatic twist when Fakhar Zaman  backed Babar and found himself dropped soon after. This fuelled speculation that his exclusion was linked to his support for the star batter.

“Anyone can fall sick. I was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism, which led to a weight loss of 10 kg and weakened my muscles. This was the only reason I was out of the team - there was nothing else.” he said.
