'Thank You For All Contribution': Laxman Shares 'Special Message' For Rohit, Kohli And Jadeja

In the recently concluded T20 World Cup 2024, India have created history as they defeated South Africa in the final on June 29, 2024. They ended the ICC title drought of 11 years and the T20 World Cup after 17 years. But at the same time Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Ravindra Jadeja also announced their retirement from their T20I career. 

In a video uploaded by BCCI, VVS Laxman expressed himself and congratulated the trio for their wonderful careers in T20Is and also their contributions to the national side.


VVS Laxman 'Special' Message For Virat, Rohit & Ravindra Jadeja 

In a video that has been uploaded by BCCI, VVS Laxman stated a 'special message' for captain Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Ravindra Jadeja. He mentioned that the trio has performed exceptionally well in their career and their contribution will always be remembered and celebrated. 

“My message to these three stalwarts of the game — Virat, Rohit and I consider Ravindra Jadeja also an extremely talented player who has contributed immensely to the development of the Indian cricket team. A big congratulations. Thank you for all the contribution they have given the great game,” Laxman said in a video posted by the BCCI on their social media.


Laxman, the chief of NCA, also expressed himself and stated his confidence that Jadeja, Rohit, and Kohli will keep contributing to the Indian team’s ODI and Test lineups. He also expressed that the trio have set an example for the young generation. 

“They set an example for the youngsters to follow. The passion and the pride with which they played the game is exemplary. While they have retired from this format, I am sure that they will continue to prepare the way they did in their careers. A big congratulations for their excellent T20 career. I am sure they are going to continue to contribute in the longer version of the game,” Laxman said.

He is currently leading the Shubman Gill-led side in Zimbabwe for a five-match T201 series.
