[Watch] Yashasvi Jaiswal Falls To James Anderson Early After Epic Double Ton In Vizag Test

Yashasvi Jaiswal would've been disappointed not have added another substantial score to India's cause in the second Test against England after producing an epic double century in the first-innings in Visakhapatnam.

The 21-year-old left-hander, who became one of the youngest to produce a double century in Test cricket and helped keep India's nose ahead with his marathon 209 while the rest of the pack struggled, looked slightly tired and jaded by the second half and didn't have his concentration going to the same extent.

Aiming for a straight drive early on Day 3, the promising opener was done in by a beautiful outswinger from England fast-bowling great James Anderson, who induced the outside edge and gave first-slip Joe Root the easiest of catching opportunities.

By the close-in replay, it was evident that Anderson had gotten Jaiswal playing more for the length rather than the seam of the delivery. Bowling with a wobble seam, Anderson made Jaiswal believe the delivery was closer to his downswing than it eventually was.

It was a loose shot from the first-innings double centurion who went for the drive off the full-pitcher without resettling in at the crease after going not out overnight in the third essay of the Test match. Jaiswal could only add 17 to his kitty after making his second 100+ score in just his sixth Test for India.

For Anderson, it was another wicket to his belt in a highly impressive comeback Test match after a six-month layoff. The great bowler had earlier dismissed Jaiswal's senior opening partner and Indian skipper Rohit Sharma in the innings when the duo was threatening to quickly stretch India's lead.

Anderson now has a jaw-dropping 695 Test match wickets next to his name for England, an unmatched feat by any other fast-bowler in the history of the game.
