After a dream start to the Asia Cup, Team India set their aim on the most anticipated clash against Pakistan. With global tournaments feeling incomplete without this rivalry, fans worldwide are eagerly waiting for the next thrilling chapter.

With the exciting clash coming up, Sanju Samson’s batting order has created a lot of buzz. Ahead of the match, Team India’s batting coach Sitanshu Kotak weighed in with his thoughts.

Kotak On Samson’s Batting Order

Ahead of the Asia Cup, Sanju Samson’s inclusion in Team India’s playing XI has created a lot of buzz. After the tournament kicked off, the buzz took another turn. After Shubman Gill and Abhishek Sharma opened the innings in the last game, Samson’s place came under scrutiny. Rumors suggest the Indian wicketkeeper could slot in at number 5 or 6.

Samson doesn’t have plenty of experience batting at that order, but Team India’s batting coach Sitanshu Kotak backed him. Speaking to reporters in Dubai, Kotak said Samson may be new to the role, but he’s ready to embrace the challenge.

“See, Sanju Samson hasn't batted that much at No.5 or 6, but it doesn't mean that he can't do it. I think Sanju is good enough to bat at any number. Whatever the team requires, the captain and head coach will decide. He is more than happy to bat at any number,” he said.

Looking Ahead To The IND vs PAK Showdown

Whenever India faces Pakistan in a global tournament, excitement soars, and the buzz ahead of the upcoming clash is already through the roof. As players concentrate on the game, the picture of the beyond 22 yards is different. When asked about the blockbuster match, coach Sitanshu Kotak emphasized staying focused over getting carried away by the hype.

“We are here to play, we are here to be competitive,” he added.

Sunday is going to be a super one as another chapter of the India-Pakistan rivalry will be retained. With victories in inaugural matches, both sides are in great form. On September 14, the Dubai International Stadium is ready to host an unmissable showdown between the arch-rivals.
