With the likes of Pat Cummins and Mitch Starc in the lineup, it is but obvious that Josh Hazlewood goes under the radar and rightly so. He doesn't speak much, he hardly does any media interactions but when it comes to match-days, he is arguably Australia's best bowler.

Hazlewood's biggest plus is that he is always committed towards Test cricket and it was evident during his Indian Premier League (IPL) stint. The pacer got injured midway through the league as he went back to his home country. However, he came back to India, took part in the league and when the league concluded, he immediately went to the UK to join his teammates for the WTC final.

However, this is just one instance about his dedication for Test cricket. Another event was revealed by Dinesh Karthik, the RCB mentor and batting coach. Karthik was on-air during the WTC final and he narrated an incident on how Hazlewood used to prepare for the WTC finals.

"Hazlewood when he came back to India after IPL resumption had one eye on the league and other on the WTC final. He increased his workload in practice sessions by bowling longer spells keeping in mind the Test cricket. He used to bowl multiple 4 overs in a day to get into the rhythm of Test cricket."

DK added: " Hazlewood used to bowl 4 overs and then used to take a 15 minute break before once again bowling multiple 4 overs in the Indian heat, as he had the WTC finale in his mind."

Hazlewood's ultimate commitment for RCB

Prior to the IPL suspension, the RCB pacer injured his shoulder and there were reports that he would miss the remainder of the season and won't return back from Australia. The pacer had no obligation to come back but he showed his loyalty towards the franchise and came back after getting fully healed from his injury and gave away match-winning performances as RCB won the league for the first time.
