After demolishing Ireland in a one-off Test, England will look to overcome the Australian challenge in the upcoming 'The Ashes 2023', which begins on June 16. The series is expected to be a mouth-watering affair given both England and Australia have been playing top-notch cricket lately.

England's renewed Test ambitions under coach Brendon McCullum and captain Ben Stokes are out there for all to see, given their aggressive and entertaining brand of cricket. Former England skipper Paul Collingwood ahead of the first Test at Edgbaston, stated that Australia will have extra confidence after winning the WTC Final 2023 against India.

As quoted by New Indian Express, Collingwood, who is working as an assistant coach under McCullum, maintained that England will continue to play their brand of cricket irrespective of opponents, they come across.

Here's what Collingwood said

"The vision of this team is to make Test cricket exciting again, turn it into a game that the whole world wants to watch .This is our brand of cricket. England cricket has gone from worrying about consistency and averages to focusing on the impact that players have in a game. Regardless of whether it's the Ashes or not, our style of play is going to remain the same."

England will aim to win their first Ashes series at home since 2015, while the Pat Cummins-led Australia will look to clinch their first series win on British soil after 2001.
