In a significant development, England and Wales Cricket Board has named a formidable 15-member squad for the upcoming Women's Ashes against arch-rivals Australia. Experienced all-rounder Heather Knight, who represented Royal Challengers Bangalore in the first-ever Women's Premier League, will lead the team, which is a mix of experience and youth.

There is enough dynamism in the English batting lineup comprising the likes of Tammy Beaumont, Sophia Dunkley, Emma Lamb and Danielle Wyatt.

Meanwhile, the presence of two world-class seam-bowling all-rounders, Heather Knight and Nat Sciver-Brunt, gives their team a ruthless look. Furthermore, Alice Capsey is there as the spin-bowling all-rounder and expected to play a key role for her side in the high-voltage series.

Amy Jones, who has been an integral member of the national setup since her debut, will perform the keeping duties, with the wily left-arm tweaker Sophie Ecclestone leading the English spin attack. In Katherine Brunt's absence, the pace department will be led by Kate Cross, with the youngsters Lauren Bell and Issy Wong playing as her deputies.
