Former Royal Challengers Bengaluru's Director of Cricket, Mike Hesson has praised Rohit Sharma and regarded his fine 92-run knock against Australia at the 2024 T20 World Cup as the 'Best Innings' from the entire tournament.

In recent times, especially since that heartbreaking ODI World Cup loss, India vs Australia has become the new India vs Pakistan. This blossoming rivalry saw the Aussies take a jewel away from the arms of the millions of fans of Indian cricket. 

With broken hearts and teary eyes, Rohit and co decided to go at them one more time at the T20 World Cup, showcasing their resilience and determination. The rest, as they say, is history.

Despite losing wickets at regular intervals during the crucial final clash of the group stage, one man, Rohit Sharma, stood tall and converted all those balls into maximums and boundaries.

Not only did Rohit play a breathtaking innings, but he also became the first Indian captain to score the fastest fifty, using just 19 balls. 

Talking about his sensational outing, Mike Hesson revealed that Rohit's magnificent innings against Australia not only secured a crucial victory but also would go down as the best innings of the tournament, he stated:

"Rohit Sharma's 92 runs against Australia was the Best innings in T20I World Cup 2024."

Eventually, India scripted another page in the books of history as they won the T20 World Cup after defeating South Africa at Barbados.
