The clashes between India and Pakistan in ICC tournaments have always been highly anticipated, often revolving around India's strong batting lineup against Pakistan's world class bowling attack. 

With India boasting top-ranked batters like Suryakumar Yadav, Virat Kohli, and Rohit Sharma, and Pakistan showcasing talents such as Shaheen Afridi, Haris Rauf, Naseem Shah, and Mohammad Amir, it's billed as a showdown between Indian batters and Pakistani bowlers.

Historically, bowlers like Shaheen, Naseem, and Amir have posed challenges for the Indian team. However, former Indian player and commentator Sanjay Manjrekar is of the opinion that Pakistan's bowling lineup doesn't stack up against India's batting talent. 

He predicts that Indian batters will dominate Pakistan's bowlers in the upcoming T20 World Cup match.

"Mohammed Amir played his last international T20 seven years back. We have no idea what his form is like today. Shaheen Afridi is not the same bowler that he was two years ago. India have handled him really well, if you remember the Asia Cup, even in the 50-overs World Cup we had a one-sided match"- Manjrekar said ahead of the T20 World Cup 2024. 


"I do not see Pakistan as a major threat to India, plus the names (of) Mohammed Amir and Shaheen Shah Afridi. I do not think this is a problem for India."

Mohammad Amir is back in the Pakistan squad after a long break, but he hasn't quite found his old form. However, when bowling alongside Shaheen Afridi, Haris Rauf, and Naseem Shah, he could potentially make an impact.

 India will play against Pakistan on June 9th at Nassau County International Cricket Stadium.
