India's performance in the ongoing One-Day International (ODI) series against West Indies in the Caribbean hasn't gone according to plan, having lost the second encounter after clinching the first. The defeat in the second ODI invited criticism from all corners for Team India, which also include former India captain Kapil Dev

The 1983 World Cup-winning captain Dev remarked that arrogance had set in Team India players.

Now, ahead of the series decider today, all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has hit back at Dev's remark and categorically stated that there is no arrogance in the current Indian side.

As quoted by Indian Express, Jadeja said that everyone is entitled to their opinions and that such comments come only when India loses.

Here's what Jadeja said

"I don’t know when he (Kapil Dev) has said this. I don’t search these things on social media. See everyone has their own opinion. Ex-player have full right to share their opinion, but I don’t think there is any arrogance in this team."

"Everyone is enjoying their cricket and everyone are hardworking. No one has taken anything for granted. They are giving their 100 per cent. Such comments generally come when Indian team lost a match. This is a good bunch of boys, this is a good group. We are representing India and that is our main aim, there is no personal agenda."

The third and final ODI will be played at Brian Lara Stadium in Trinidad with the series tied at 1-1. Following the ODIs, a revamped Indian side will play a five-T20I series which starts August 3.
