While playing for India and even in the IPL, the cricket world has seen their heartfelt bond. In a recent interaction, Virat Kohli spilled the beans on his special relationship with  Ishant Sharma.

Being Delhi boys, Ishant Sharma and Virat Kohli have been together since the early days of their careers. Over the years, as they evolved as players, and their friendship has also grown deeper. On and off the field, the Indian stars are often caught having fun together.

From representing the state to proudly donning Team India’s jersey, the duo turned their dream into reality. Under Kohli’s captaincy, the pacer achieved some unreal success in his career. 

Even playing in the IPL for different franchises, their bond shone with time. In the recent RCB podcast, Virat opened up on his special bond with Ishant Sharma, calling it a natural connection.

“Ishant is someone I naturally connected with, from Day 1, absolutely nothing has changed, regardless of whether we play together or we don't play together - I can absolutely share everything with him, without any judgement, with complete understanding and complete empathy. So he is very special individual in my life,” Kohli said.

Stepping Down As Captain Hits King Kohli Hard

Kohli’s resignation as Team India’s captain was a widely discussed topic in global cricket. Leading the nation for around eight years, he was under continuous limelight, and his sudden move shook the Indian cricket. Stripped of ODI captaincy and later stepping down from Tests in 2022, Kohli recently opened up, admitting it was one of the toughest phases of his career.

The star batter confessed that the burden of leading the nation was affecting his mind. Due to the impact, his natural game was hampered, leading to a dip in performance. In 2022, after taking a much-needed month-long break, Kohli reignited his passion for cricket. Now the cricket world is enjoying the Virat Kohli 2.o, who is dominating world cricket once again.
