Lauren Bell shares insight from RCB’s coffee culture

After lifting the WPL trophy in 2024, the RCB-W had a forgettable outing in the last season and returned to the edition aiming for a turnaround. Making a strong squad, the franchise has welcomed some of the superstars across the globe, and English fast bowler Lauren Bell has made his way to the side.

Before stepping into the game against Harmanpreet Kaur’s MI, Bell was asked about the coffee club in the RCB camp, and her answer stunned the fans. Reflecting on their bond, she said that even though they tried to make their own coffee.

“Yes, we do our own coffee. We went to a cafe today, and Georgia Voll backed herself to be a brewer; they very kindly let her make her own coffee. Yeah, we have got a pretty good set-up,” she said with a smile.

Bell reflects on her RCB journey so far

The young English pacer started her WPL journey for the UP Warriorz during the 2023 and 2024 seasons. After pulling out of the previous edition, she came back to the tournament, but this time with the RCB setup. When asked about her experience with the new setup, her response instantly caught everyone’s attention.

“It’s definitely been different. Different franchise, and obviously, RCB is pretty massive. It’s been a crazy few days since I landed…trying to meet everyone and learn names and learn everything. It’s been really fun, and I’m just excited for the first game tonight,” she added.

After Lauren Bell’s inclusion, RCB’s bowling squad got a massive boost. Lining up alongside Linsey Smith, Shreyanka Patil, Radha Yadav, and other strike bowlers, Bell adds a lethal edge that could trouble any opponent. Depending on this outstanding bowling unit, RCB can eye their second title this season.
