Before facing New Zealand in the last group stage fixture, there was a buzz about Rohit Sharma and Mohammad Shami’s unavailability due to fitness issue. But before stepping into the game, KL Rahul dismissed the rumor and confirms their availability.

KL Rahul Dismisses The Recent Speculations

As the Champions Trophy returns into the cricket arena after eight years, Team India had a great start in the tournament. Before their final group stage clash, Rohit Sharma and Co. are still unbeaten. But before their next clash against New Zealand, there was a buzz about Rohit Sharma and Mohammad Shami’s unavailability.

As per recent reports, Rohit Sharma was struggling with a sudden hamstring injury and likely to miss the upcoming match against the Kiwis. Adding to this, it was said Mohammad Shami could miss the match due to the injury concern. His recent absence in the practice session added fuel into this.

As the next match is going to be crucial for the ‘Men in Blue’, fans were worried. But Indian wicketkeeper-batter KL Rahul dismissed the issue . 

While addressing the issue, Rahul said, “Fitness wise, there are no concerns about anyone missing a game as far as I know.”

India Is Eyeing Triumph Over The Kiwis

In the ongoing tournament, Team India had a great start. After defeating Bangladesh in the first match, they kept their domination alive in the next match against Pakistan as they defeated the ‘Men in Green’ by 6 wickets.

After that, they have already qualified for the semifinal. In their last group stage clash, they are set to face New Zealand.
