After the end of play on day 2 of the 2nd Test, India are again in a commanding situation as the Windies have already lost four wickets for 140 runs and trail by 378 runs. It was a brilliant day with the bat for India despite losing Yashasvi Jaiswal early on in the day.
Notably, Jaiswal was on the course of a double hundred, but couldn't reach the special milestone as the southpaw got into a horrible mix-up with Shubman Gill in the 2nd ball of the 92nd over. Notably, Jaiswal looked for a quick single and made the call for a run. However, Gill didn't track his movement and rather had his eyes set on the ball, resulting in Jaiswal's run-out.

The southpaw was furious as he was running towards the danger end, and Gill wouldn't have gone out. Eventually, Gill went on to score a hundred, and despite his milestone, the fans took to the internet and slammed Shubman for running Jaiswal and denying his century.
In the latest events, Jaiswal has broken his silence on the matter and, speaking to the match presenters post stumps on day 2, Jaiswal stated that such incidents are part and parcel of the game.
“It's a part of the game. So it's fine,” said Jaiswal while speaking to the host broadcaster.

Further, Jaiswal also opened up on missing the double hundred and remarked that he looks to score big.
“I always try to play as long as I can. I just think that if I am out there and take it forward, I can play as long as I can. Early on, there was movement. I was thinking if I bat for one hour and then after that, it will be easy for me to score runs,” he said.
Notably, Yashasvi Jaiswal was on course of smashing his third double-hundred in his Test career, but missed out on a great opportunity.
