The highly-anticipated upcoming five-Test series between India and England promises to be a mouth-watering encounter that sees a clash of ideas and strategies.

Captained by Ben Stokes and coached by Brendon McCullum come to India with their most successful 'Bazball' approach, which so-far found success across conditions and various opposition, which could take Rohit Sharma and Co. for a surprise in the Tests is what former Three Lions captain Michael Vaughan feels.

Taking to social media platform 'X'. Vaughan stated that India while heading into the series as firm favourites, could be dealt with a blow in the first Test starting January 25.

England might give them a shock or 2 - Michael Vaughan

"Really looking forward to the #INDvENG test series. India are clear favourites but I think England might give them a shock or 2. It might be this week in Hyderabad. This New England approach isn’t easy to play against,"  Vaughan tweeted.

Since taking over England Test's leadership, the duo of Stokes and McCullum have revitalised their red-ball cricket, managing to win 11 of their 13 Tests together, which include a whitewash to Pakistan in their backyard.

The first Test of the five-match series will be played at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad, where both teams have already begun their preparations.

Meanwhile, India will be without their ace batter and former captain Virat Kohli for the first two Tests, which could help England sneak in a win or two.
