Australia's Test and ODI cricket captain, Pat Cummins, has expressed his unwavering passion for the shortest format of the game, T20 cricket. His dedication to the game is evident as he aims to help his nation win the gold medal at the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.

The recently concluded 2024 Paris Olympics saw Cricket notably absent from the lineup. However, the upcoming Olympics in Los Angeles will mark a significant milestone as Cricket returns to the games after 128 years.

The right arm fast bowler, Cummins talked about how watching the Olympics excited him and that he looks forward to playing at them.

"Watching the Olympics, it got us all excited. You want to be part of it right there in the middle," Cummins said.

Despite the age factor, Pat Cummins' determination to participate in the games at 35 is truly inspiring, as he said he'd love to be a part of the game.

"I'd love to be on that side (at LA28). I think I'll be 35 or something, so hopefully still there or thereabouts. Honestly right now, it feels a long way away. Maybe once we get closer and start building into it, everyone gets a bit more excited," he said.

While, Mitchell Marsh is the T20I captain for Australia, Cummins recently captained SunRisers Hyderabad at the Indian Premier League 2024, where his team were runners-up.
