India star bowler Arshdeep Singh has hogged the internet since yesterday as his four-wicket haul helped India register a seven-wicket win over the USA and also qualify for the Super 8 round.

Singh registered the figures of 4/9 in his quota of four overs and won the Player of the Match award for his bowling performance. Arshdeep has been brilliant in this edition with the ball as he is India's leading wicket-taker in this World Cup with 7 wickets in three games.

The left-arm seamer has not only contributed with the ball but delivered with the bat as well. When India were struggling against Pakistan, Singh came to bat at No. 9 and scored a valuable 9(13), which also featured a solitary boundary.

After the display with the bat, Arshdeep stated that against Pakistan, he asked Rohit Sharma to go ahead of Jasprit Bumrah in the batting order and added that he has now told the management that he would bat up the order irrespective of their decision.

“…Jassi bhai was supposed to go before me, but I just went in after asking Rohit bhai (Sharma). They were surprised by it, but now, I have told them I will go up regardless of whatever you say,” Arshdeep told the reporters.

“I will go at nine because I faced the quickest bowlers in the last game. So yeah, that’s the plan now. I am very confident about my batting. And be it fielding or bowling, you just try to keep getting better,” he added.

India will now face Canada on June 15 at the Central Broward Park in Florida, USA.
