"I Don't Fear Anything," 14-Year-Old Vaibhav Suryavanshi Declares After Blistering Century

It was a once-in-a-lifetime knock by the 14-year-old Rajasthan Royals' (RR) Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who announced his arrival with a blistering century at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. The left-handed batter thumped 101 runs off just 38 deliveries, with 11 sixes to his name.

Suryavanshi Reveals His Mindset After Match-Winning Performance

After doing the unbelievable in Jaipur, Vaibhav Suryavanshi was awarded player of the match for his fantastic innings, as he thumped the century off just 35 deliveries, where he recorded seven boundaries and 11 gigantic sixes, batting at a strike rate of 265.79.

After the game, when he was interviewed by Murali Karthik at the presentation ceremony, the 14-year-old youngster, was confident in his approach and asserted that he's feeling very comfortable here and that too, in his third innings, as he has been practicing for quite a few months, which has finally done wonders for him.

Adding that he does not look at the bowlers and tries to focus on each and every delivery and play them on their merit. Moreover, he lauded his batting partner, Yashasvi Jaiswal, who also supported him brilliantly tonight with 70*, as the senior pro, according to him, motivates him with his pep talks in between overs.

"I am feeling very good. First 100 in the IPL, just my 3rd innings. All the practice that I have done in the last 4-5 months has finally paid off. I don't look at the bowlers that much on the ground, I just play every ball on its merit. I love batting with him (Jaiswal). He keeps talking positively and encourages me to do well,"

Additionally, he disclosed was like a dream for him to achieve what he has achieved in this encounter.

When he was asked about, but if the bowlers would target him from now onwards, he confidently declared that he is not afraid of anyone and doesn't think that much; instead, he tries to keep himself focused on the game rather than thinking about those things not in his control.

"It is like a dream to make a century in IPL. Like I said, I have practiced a lot in the last 4-5 months and it has all worked out for me. No, I don't fear anything. No, I don't think that much, I just want to focus on my game."

Rajasthan Royals Earn Third Victory Of The Season

Talking about the game, the Gujarat Titans batted first and posted a daunting score of 209 on the board, whereas the Royals finished the game comfortably with ease by eight wickets and 25 deliveries to spare on the back of Suryavanshi's 101 and Jaiswal's 70*.

Breaking the string of five consecutive losses, Rajasthan Royals finally get their third win of the season as after 10 matches, they are now eighth on the table with six points and a net run rate of -0.349. They will now be up against Mumbai Indians on the 1st of May at their home at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.
